Republic of Armenia
Armenia , officially the Republic of Armenia , is a country in the South Caucasus region of Eurasia. Armenia is a unitary, multi-party, democratic nation-state with an ancient cultural heritage. The oldest Armenian kingdom called Urartu was founded in the 9th century BC. The Armenian national identity is very closely associated with the Armenian Apostolic Church, the world's oldest national church, as the country's primary religious establishment. The Armenians also use the unique alphabet invented by Mesrop Mashtots in 405.
